I received a box of honeycrisp apples from Buckskin Orchard today. I'm not normally a big fan of apples (the edible kind, anyway), though that's mainly because the store-bought varieties don't really taste all that great to me. The "Red Delicious" is more red than delicious these days. Honeycrisps, though, easly live up to their name.

Apples are one of those memory foods, for me. They say "fall" to me, and bring back memories of Halloween and caramel apples and cool fall days. Fall hasn't reached us yet here in coastal Texas, but in another month or so it will. I think I'm about ready for it now.
