My Web 2.0 Name Generator got listed on digg over the weekend. It went from 230 hits (the previous day) to 24,000 hits overnight. The traffic spike was impressive :) Fortunately it's an all-text page, so it didn't result in a server meltdown...

I was a bit bummed to note that of the thousands of clicks to "check availability" of the suggested domain names, only one resulted in a sale. Talk about a poor conversion ratio!

Today I added a few more combinations to the script. I also added a link to some JavaScript books on Amazon. *How* the name generator was built is probably more interesting to a lot of folks than the actual names generated, anyway... though, I still think it's fun to see some of the silly names it comes up with. :)
